Second one is: Green - tending to preserve environmental quality (as by being recyclable, biodegradable, or nonpolluting) (from Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
One of my favorite parts of my work is helping people "go green". I believe if we all chip in a little by making small changes, we will all make a huge difference. The company we partnered with helps save plastic because the products are concentrated. This also results in less fuel for shipping because they are not shipping watered-down products across the country.
What are some common household toxins? If you look under your kitchen sink (where most people keep their cleaning products), you would find things like ammonia, formaldehyde and bleach. There is an alternative! Asthma symptoms can be greatly reduced just by getting rid of bleach and products with it. You wouldn't knowingly let a venomous spider or snake in your house, why let bleach in? It has caused more deaths in the past 10 years than spiders and snakes combined!
And what does it do to our water? It kills not only bad bacteria, but good bacteria, or probiotics and other micro-organisms that are needed to balance our wastewater. It also ends up in streams and lakes where plants and animals are harmed.
Washington state outlawed phosphates for that reason also.
